Blaine County VINE Coverage
Idaho runs VINE as a free service. The Idaho Sheriffs' Association manages it with Appriss, and it plugs into jail booking systems statewide plus the Idaho Department of Correction. A court-notification module exists too. The public entry point is VINELink, where you pick Idaho and search for one person. That reach covers Blaine County. Still, nothing promises every booking shows up there. Check that the Blaine record appears in the live interface. For custody right now, compare against the county roster or call the Blaine County Detention Center at 208-788-5564.
Check a Blaine Arrest on VINE
A VINE search works one name at a time. Skip browsing photo streams and bring details that separate people with similar names.
- Open VINELink and choose Idaho as the state.
- Select the person or offender search offered by the interface.
- Enter the legal name and any available identifying detail.
- Compare every possible match before opening a record.
- Confirm the displayed agency, facility, status, and identifier against an official Blaine source.
A name match alone proves little. Spelling slips, aliases, and data lag can all skew results, and the county's official-source overview shows where the booking record, the roster, and the court path split.
Blaine VINE Result Fields
Fields vary by agency and custody system. Treat each one as a status report, not a full criminal case.
| Field | Use and limit |
|---|---|
| Name or identity details | Help distinguish matches but require verification. |
| Custody status | Indicates the system's current reported state and may lag. |
| Facility or agency | Shows which participating system reported the person. |
| Offender identifier | Provides a stronger match than name alone when available. |
| Release or transfer event | Can trigger notice; it does not state the court disposition. |
Release does not erase the arrest. The court case can continue after custody ends. A sentence and transfer to IDOC moves the person into the state correction search and off the county's current roster.
Register for Idaho Custody Alerts
Registration ties alerts to one specific record. Idaho materials describe phone notices guarded by a four-digit PIN, and the live interface may also offer electronic delivery.
- Open the verified person's VINELink record.
- Select the registration or notification control.
- Choose the available telephone or email method.
- Create and retain the four-digit PIN when phone registration requests it.
- Complete confirmation and keep the record identifier for later changes.
Never share the PIN. It confirms you received the call and controls the registration, so also keep the detention-center number handy; an automated notice never replaces direct confirmation.
Blaine VINE Limits and Verification
VINE is not the Blaine County booking feed. It does not replace the jail roster either. A new arrest can sit in intake before the data reaches VINELink. For a fresh event, confirm through Blaine County Arrested Today or the detention roster. A call to the jail works as well. Released entries may linger on the recent feed too, long after current custody ends. Federal Bureau of Prisons custody runs on a separate system. Civil immigration detention is separate as well. A missing VINE match cannot rule out federal, immigration, juvenile, sealed, transferred, or still-processing custody.
Idaho VINE Systems Work Together
Idaho's VINE setup blends three parts. Jail interfaces handle county detention. IDOC reporting covers prison, probation, and parole. A court-notification module tracks court proceedings instead of physical custody. These pieces are related but not interchangeable. A hearing notice reports a scheduled event. A custody alert reports a release or transfer supplied by a participating system. The same person may receive both through VINE, yet one never confirms the other.
The IDOC Victim Services page explains prison-resident notifications and phone PIN use. IDOC updates resident information daily. Daily is not live. That pace makes it a poor source for fresh county arrests. Older search material described a period when that VINE service sat inactive. The current IDOC page governs instead. No separate Blaine County SAVIN brand exists either. So skip hunting for a second county notification portal under that name.
View the VINE Arrest Interface
The VINELink search interface below opens the Idaho path.
The screenshot is only a reference. It is not a custody result. Open VINELink live, since an old image cannot confirm a release. VINE notices serve people who need word of a custody move or release. That is their whole job.
Blaine Custody Sources Compared
Each official source answers a different question. The BCSO recent-arrests feed rolls through new and released bookings. The detention roster freezes the county's current picture. VINELink follows one matched person through custody updates, while the IDOC Resident/Client Search covers prison, probation, and parole on a daily refresh. None of these is the final court record.
| Custody stage | First source |
|---|---|
| Just booked | BCSO recent feed, then detention phone |
| Held in county jail | BCSO Detention Roster |
| Release or transfer alert | VINELink registration |
| Sentenced to state system | IDOC Resident/Client Search |
| Federal sentence | Federal Bureau of Prisons locator |
A VINE record can change facilities without meaning release. Read the new agency name before you dial. One hold ending does not clear every other legal restraint. A detainer can hide behind an ordinary-looking release field. It is simply another authority asking to hold or notify. So treat each update as one fact, not the whole story. For the booking report or the booking photo itself, call BCSO records at 208-788-5555. VINELink moves status alerts around, but the sheriff keeps the report. Case outcomes live in Idaho iCourt. Search there by name or case number, within court access and sealing limits.
Manage Blaine VINE Notices
Guard the details tied to your registration. The person identifier, contact method, and telephone PIN should stay private. Change the registration whenever a phone number or email changes. And read each event type with care, because release, transfer, escape, return to custody, and state correction custody carry different meanings. IDOC describes phone alerts that repeat every two hours for up to 48 hours. A four-digit PIN confirms the call and stops the cycle. That schedule belongs to the state correction service, so treat it as a description, not a promise for every Blaine County jail event. Follow the instructions that come with the actual registration. Wording unclear? Call the named facility. Save the detention-center number on its own. If a message feels off, go back to official VINELink rather than tapping an unexpected link or reading a PIN to a caller. VINE supports custody awareness and nothing more. The arresting agency holds its report. Detention staff hold jail records. IDOC supplies state correction data, and the court supplies the outcome.
Blaine VINE Match Problems
No match on a Blaine County search is rarely the last word. Check the spelling first. The person may also be listed under another legal name. Confirm Idaho is the selected state, and never guess from a similar name. The booking may still be in intake. The person may have released. Custody may also sit in a system VINE does not cover. For current local custody, return to the Blaine County Detention Roster. It carries its own "as of" time and can show people booked on earlier dates. The recent-arrests feed answers a different question. It shows whether a booking happened during its rolling window, including someone already released. When either display may trail a fresh intake, call the detention center. Multiple matches call for care, not broader assumptions. Compare age and other displayed identity data, plus agency, facility, and offender identifier. If uncertainty remains, call the named custodian. Hold off on registering alerts until the identity match is sound. A wrong pick can send notices about an unrelated person. A no-result screen also says nothing about a warrant. VINE tracks supported custody events only. Someone cited without jail booking will not appear. The same goes for a person held outside Idaho or moved into federal or immigration custody. Anyone excluded from public display is invisible as well. Use the originating agency and the proper official locator for the facts you actually have. Do not stretch one empty search into a conclusion. Registering for notification shares nothing public and changes nothing in the record. It just asks the service to deliver supported custody events. Cancel or update through the official interface once the registration is no longer needed.
